How do I pay for a workout?

First you buy a “ticket”, then you book a workout, both online.

We have different kinds of tickets. You can just buy 1 Drop-in workout or you can go for a workout package or membership. If you come for the first time, we have a nice offer: 2 workouts for the price of 1. We call that offer the Intro Deal. An overview of the possibilities can be found under the tab Pricing. If you click on “Buy now”, you will be asked to create an account, after which you can pay via:

  • IDEAL
  • credit card
  • debit card (SEPA)

If you click on “My series” after logging in, your purchase will be listed there. Under “Class count” you will find the number of classes you can book with your purchase.

For workout packages you can also pay by card in the studio. However, if you do not have an active package or membership, you will not be able to reserve a spot. It is most practical in any case, if you have already created an account via our website. At the frontdesk you can easily buy and pay for the package by card.

Our studio assistant will be happy to make a last-minute booking and you can immediately join the workout. Please arrive in the studio al least 15 minutes before the start of the workout, so we can give you a brief explanation about the studio and the workout.

What kind of memberships do you offer?

We have different types of memberships:

  • Row Lite
  • Row Silver
  • Row Gold
  • Unlimited

You can take out a membership via the Pricing tab. The chosen membership starts on the day of purchase, and has a minimum duration of 12 (3 x 4) weeks. After these 12 weeks, the membership will be renewed on a 4-weekly basis.

What is a Row LITE membership?
  • The Row Lite membership has a minimum duration of 12 (3 x 4) weeks. After this initial term, the membership will renew on a 4-weekly basis.
  • The 4-weekly membership fee is €39 and should be paid by credit card or SEPA.
  • Each 4-week cycle you can join up to 4 workouts. If at the end of the cycle, you have joined less than 4 workouts, you lose the right to those workouts. You will not build up workout credit.
  • You can reserve workouts via the Book now tab. The cancellation period is 12 hours. If you cancel late or don’t show up, you forfeit the right to the workout and we charge a no-show fee of €10.
  • If you want to attend more than 4 workouts per cycle of 4 weeks, you can add credits to your account for €12 per workout.
  • Club RowStudio membership is included, which means you get access to your personal dashboard where you can monitor your performance data.
What is a Row SILVER membership?
  • The Row Silver membership has a minimum duration of 12 (3 x 4) weeks. After this initial term, the membership will renew on a 4-weekly basis.
  • The 4-weekly membership fee is €59 and should be paid by credit card or SEPA.
  • Each 4-week cycle you can join up to 6 workouts. If at the end of the cycle, you have joined less than 6 workouts, you lose the right to those workouts. You will not build up workout credit.
  • You can reserve workouts via the Book now tab. The cancellation period is 12 hours. If you cancel late or don’t show up, you forfeit the right to the workout and we charge a no-show fee of €10.
  • If you want to attend more than 6 workouts per cycle of 4 weeks, you can add credits to your account for €12 per workout.
  • Club RowStudio membership is included, which means you get access to your personal dashboard where you can monitor your performance data.

 

What is a Row GOLD membership?
  • The Row Gold membership has a minimum duration of 12 (3 x 4) weeks. After this initial term, the membership will renew on a 4-weekly basis.
  • The 4-weekly membership fee is €99 and should be paid by credit card or SEPA.
  • Each 4-week cycle you can join up to 8 workouts. If at the end of the cycle, you have joined less than 8 workouts, you lose the right to those workouts. You will not build up workout credit.
  • You can reserve workouts via the Book now tab. The cancellation period is 3 hours. If you cancel late or don’t show up, you forfeit the right to the workout. We do not charge a no-show fee on top of that.
  • If you want to attend more than 8 workouts per cycle of 4 weeks, you can add credits to your account for €12 per workout.
  • Club RowStudio membership is included, which means you get access to your personal dashboard where you can monitor your performance data.

 

 

What is an UNLIMITED membership?
  • The Unlimited membership has a minimum duration of 12 (3 x 4) weeks. After this term, the membership will be renewed on a 4-weekly basis.
  • The monthly fee is €119 which amount has to be paid by credit card or SEPA.
  • Each month you can join as many workouts as you like.
  • You can book workouts via rowstudio.nl/booking. The cancellation term is 12 hours. If you cancel late or if you do not show up, you forfeit the right to the workout and we will have to impose a no-show fee of €10.
  • Membership of Club RowStudio is included, which means you get access to your personal dashboard where you can monitor your performance data.
Can I pause my membership?

A membership can be paused by the member one time every 12 weeks with a minimum of 1 week and a maximum of 1 month.

How do I cancel my membership?

You can cancel your membership by sending an email to info@rowstudio.nl at least 2 weeks before the end of the billing cycle.

Do you offer punch cards?

Definitely! We offer a 10-Pack and a 20-Pack. And if you’re new to RowStudio, you can try our workouts at a discount with the Intro Deal. That’s 2 classes for the price of 1. Of course you can also buy a single (Drop-in) workout. The Intro Deal and the Drop-in workout are valid for 2 weeks, the 10-Pack for 6 months and the 20-Pack for 12 months. Within this period after purchase you can join the workouts. An overview of the possibilities and prices can be found under the Pricing tab.

Can I try a workout for free?

If you’re new to RowStudio, you can try our workouts at a discount with the Intro Deal. That’s 2 workouts for the price of 1. See under Pricing. The Intro Deal is valid for 2 weeks. Within this period you can attend the workouts. It is also possible to reserve 2 spots in 1 workout with the Intro Pack so you can bring a friend. So in short, you can OR join 2 times yourself, OR bring someone.

The website does not seem to accept my credit card

If you buy a membership we need to have your credit card on file for future payments. Therefore please place a checkmark in the “Save my card” box.

BOOKING & CANCELLING

How do I book a workout?

To join a workout, first create an account. Then you buy a workout package or a membership. In your account you go to “Reserve”, after which our schedule appears. In this schedule you can filter by using the buttons “By instructor”, “By class” and “By room”. You select the workout you want to attend, after which you choose the rowing machine you want to reserve on the floor plan. After you have booked a rowing machine you will receive a confirmation of your booking by email. Please read this mail carefully, it contains important information.

How does the waiting list work?

When a workout is full, a waiting list is available. There are almost always cancellations, so the chance of being assigned a spot is very high. If you put your name on the list and a spot becomes available, your booking for this spot will automatically be made. You will be notified by email, so keep an eye on your inbox. We understand of course that at a certain moment you will make other plans. No worries, you can easily take your name off the list at any moment. And if you are assigned a spot within an hour before the start of the workout and you can’t make it, send a quick note to info@rowstudio.nl and you won’t lose your credit.

Can I cancel my booking?

You can cancel a booking without consequences up to 12 hours before the start of the workout. To cancel, go to “Log in” in the main menu, select “My classes” and click on “Unreserve“.

If the workout you booked starts within 12 hours, you can “Late cancel” your booking. If you have a Lite, Silver or Gold membership, this means you will lose the credit. If you have an Unlimited membership you will be charged a fee €10 in case of a late cancellation.

What happens if I don't show up?

Of course, it can always happen that you are unable to join a workout. In that case, please always cancel or late cancel your booking as described above, even if the workout is about to start. If you do not show up without canceling, you will be charged the no-show fee of €10.

YOUR WORKOUT

What does a RowStudio workout look like?

A workout at RowStudio takes (unless otherwise stated) 45 minutes. It’s your first time? Please make sure you are present 15 minutes before the class starts. The instructor will then be able to help you adjust the rowing machine and explain the basics of the rowing form. The workout usually starts with a few exercises on the rowing machine that are meant to perform the rowing movement correctly. This is followed by a warm-up. The rest of the class is always different. We do alternate rowing on the rowing machine with exercises on the mat next to the rowing machine. Which exercises these are, depends on the type of class (see the tab Workouts). We always end with a cooling-down and stretching. You can count on a nice and varied workout, with a high fun factor and a lot of personal attention from the instructor.

I have never rowed. Is that a problem?

The RowStudio workouts are suitable for all ages and all fitness levels. Have you never rowed and/or trained on a rowing machine before? No problem at all! Our experienced instructors will be happy to help you learn the rowing technique. Maybe you will have to get used to it in the beginning, but you’ll soon see that it goes better. For your first workout we recommend booking a RowStudio LAUNCH. Do you have rowing experience? Then you can join too! Our workouts are different (much more fun!) than you might be used to. Just come and try it.

What happens when I arrive at the studio?

When you arrive at the studio, give your name to our front desk employee. Your booking will be checked and you will be informed which rowing machine is reserved for you. You will receive explanation about the use of the locker rooms and lockers. We will be happy to answer any questions you might have. In the studio you can easily recognize your rowing machine, because your name is on the screen. The trainer will help you to adjust the rowing machine and will give you an explanation about its use and training. And then let’s get started! On the screen a timeline appears on which the training is presented schematically. With a pointer we indicate where we are. The trainer will talk you through it and make sure you have a nice workout.

At what time do I need to be there?

Is it your first workout at RowStudio? Then we ask you to be present about 15 minutes before the start. Our trainer will then have enough time to give you an explanation. If your are late you cannot join he class. This is because we start with an explanation of the rowing technique and a warming up. If you miss that, joining the workout is not safe.

Have you been to RowStudio before? Then make sure you are on time. If you are late, we can assign your place to someone on the waiting list. If you expect to be a little late, give us a call and we will keep your seat available for you.

What should I bring?
  • Ordinary sportswear (only a very long top is not useful because it can get stuck in the rolling bench of your rowing machine).
  • Indoor training shoes
  • Bottle of water
  • Towel
How should I prepare for a workout?
  1. Drink enough! Make sure you’ve drunk enough water before you start one of our workouts. You can buy a bottle of water in the studio, for during your workout. You can also bring your own water bottle.
  2. Eat enough! Our sessions are intense, and we recommend a suitable meal 2 hours before a workout.
  3. Consider yourself! During the workout, our trainer will motivate you to give everything. But don’t let it drive you crazy. Don’t run too fast and spread your energy over the workout.

STUDIO DE PIJP

Do you have showers?

Yes, showers are available in the ladies and men’s changing room. You can use toiletries such as Marie Stella Maris shampoo, shower gel and hand soap free of charge. There is a hairdryer available. Against payment of €2 you can use a towel.

Do you have towels?

We have a small towel you can use free of charge. If you need a bigger towel, you can rent one for €2.

Are there lockers available?

Yes, there are locker cabinets in the changing rooms. They work with a pin code. After you have closed the door, enter a four-digit PIN code. Then confirm the code by entering it again. In the changing room there’s also an instruction manual.

Do you sell drinks?

At our reception we offer Nespresso coffee, espresso and cappuccino. Furthermore we have tea (fresh ginger, fresh mint and black tea), packets of water (Marie Stella Maris) and bottles of Vitamin Well. (Reload).

Where can I park my car?
